ST. CLOUD, FLORIDA – As part of Salt&Light Christian Church’s First Anniversary celebration, Pastor Nathan Blackwell, Senior Pastor of Cornerstone Family Church, was honored this last Saturday for his years of service to our community and for sowing the message of Jesus in this city for the last 30 years.
In 1988, Pastor Blackwell was already working as Senior Pastor in the city of Spartanburg, North Carolina when he felt the calling from God to relocate to the city of St. Cloud and continue his ministerial work there. Later that year, he founded Cornerstone Family Church, along with a group of people that shared his passion to build a different kind of congregation. Since then, Cornerstone Family Church has been a staple of the city’s spiritual growth and a building block of our community, being a center of hope, serving the needs of the community, and bringing the good news of the gospel of Jesus to everyone.
Dedicated to a life of public service
Pastor Blackwell not only has over 30 years of experience as Senior Pastor, but also has dedicated the last few years of his life to serve his community from a different point of view as Mayor of the City of St. Cloud, being elected in 2016 and revalidating for a second term in 2020. His experience as pastor and as a community leader has been instrumental in providing a unique perspective to public service in all areas of service while still caring and leading Cornerstone Family Church.
We honor Pastor Blackwell on his life of service and his support on helping us grow and build a presence on the city of the St. Cloud.
